If you are an aviator, then you might be interested in knowing what flashlights
we have been shipping to Fort Campbell, so you can get one for yourself...

The flashlights that have the aviators at Campbell excited have the same multi configured bulb system as the 58 SOW. In these flashlights, there is one solid state bulb and one high-power Inspection Option bulb--both activated with the rotation of the bezel or thumb switch. As a safety feature, the thumb switch has a lock-out so that it is not inadvertently activated in the cockpit.

Half of the aviators are choosing the most popular Phantom, which is a PSW; a Phantom Secure White, which gives you color accurate NVG secure/compatible lighting in the cockpit. This Phantom White light has a vibration and shock proof bulb that does not interfere with night vision goggles even when used right next to them in the cockpit.

The other half of the aviation crews choose the NVIS compatible/NVG secure Phantom Secure Green bulb as its primary lighting mode. This PSG gives the user a wavelength of light that is not detected by most versions of night vision goggles--even "head on."

It is simply a matter of preference as to which version your aviation crew will want to order. Some aviation crews will want the PSG because users may be more comfortable with the familiar green light. On the other hand, many of our Phantom Warriors don't see a point in passing over the NVG secure, and color accurate bulb of the Phantom White--so it is up to you!
